#7 Low Table 19th Century
.This 19th century low table could have been used in a monastery or well to do home. It is particularly distinctive in that it is decorated on both sides. One side has four decorative panels. In the center are two medallions with archaic dragons. Flanking these, on the outside are two floral medallions. The other side of the table is dominated by the ferocious gaze of the guardian Zeeba figure painted against a backdrop of amber gold. The Zeeba holds a flowering vine in his mouth and hands and the top of his head is decorated with the sun and moon. The ubiquitous Zeeba is found throughout South and Central Asia and is a powerful guardian figure who protects against the forces of evil For shipping and handling please contact info@innerasiarugs.com.
