American Heritage Collection
InnerAsia is proud to introduce "American Heritage" a collection of nine rugs inspired by the EspritŠ Quilt Collection which was recently acquired by the Lancaster heritage Museum, Lancaster Pennsylvania. InnerAsia is one of the corporate sponsors for the Museum?s official opening of the new Lancaster Quilt and Textile Museum on March 27, 2004.
The American Heritage rugs are handcrafted in Tibet using Tibetan northern highland sheep wool and Tibetan weaving techniques. The collection draws inspiration from the strong color block patterns in the quilts. The brilliant execution of the palette of reds, blues, gold and aubergine enhanced by InnerAsia?s richly textured Tibetan weave gives the collection surprisingly contemporary flair.
