The most pervasive floral design in Tibet is Lotus which is a Buddhist metaphor for human potential for realization of wisdom and compassion. It grows out of mud, yet in spite of its humble origins, it attains perfection. Therefore, the Lotus is not only a symbol of beauty but also of hope.
